Information About This Brand... more

Absorbine was first founded in the late 19th century by Mary Ida Young and her husband, Wilbur Fenelon Young. As horses were the primary mode of transport and used for work; if lameness developed within a horse, the treatment was 'blistering', which encourages blood flow and therefore speed healing. Mary being an avid gardener created the first Absorbine Veterinary Liniment through her knowledge of plants and herbs and their properties. Absorbine took off, people much prefer the more humane treatment, since 1892 it has been the peoples most trusted brand.

Absorbine has come a long way in the past 125 years, branching into washes and shampoos, both clean and support muscle and joint recovery after work or an injury. Supplements for normal health, to supporting the high-performance horse. Absorbine also markets fly sprays, coat sprays and mane and tail sprays. Not forgetting hoof care, as it was once said 'no hoof, no horse'.
