Sprenger Turnado Loose Ring Snaffle
Bit Ring Size:
70mm

Bit Size:
125mm

Bit Thickness:
16mm
TURNADO bits represent a new generation of loose ring snaffles. Standard single jointed bits have a production related characteristic: one part of the mouthpiece is longer than the other which results in stronger influence on one tongue edge. To avoid this problem, we recommend to use TURNADO bits. The joint of these bits has been angled forward by 45 degrees in order to guarantee an even distribution of pressure on both sides of the tongue. This special rotation is distinctly marked by a slightly abrasive surface (sandblasting) in the middle part of the mouthpie
innovative joint of the mouthpiece, turned forward by 45°
therefore the contact surface of the mouthpiece on the tongue is equal on both sides
this enables an even distribution of pressure on both tongue edges
helps to counteract the horse's natural asymmetry
sandblasted for identification of the unique angeled joint
tongue-friendly

Bit Thickness:

KK ULTRA bits are the pioneers of modern bits because they have been developed on the basis of scientific research.
They achieve their unique, precise effect through the special 45° angle of the middle link. When used correctly, the horse’s confidence in the rider’s hand is enhanced, which is why these bits are used successfully worldwide in all disciplines and across all training levels – a true all-round talent!
Compared to conventional bits, the middle link has also been shortened. This anatomical adaptation noticeably optimises the effect compared to conventional double jointed bits.
When the reins are taken up, the middle link – also known as the “lozenge” because of its striking shape – gently rolls over the central part of the horse’s tongue, stimulating its sense of touch. The connecting rings to the middle piece roll softly over the tongue without exerting pressure. Scientific research:
The development of the KK ULTRA bits is based on the results of a measurement of mouth cavities of horses initiated by SPRENGER, carried out by the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hanover. This investigation resulted in groundbreaking knowledge about the space conditions and the position of bits in the horse‘s mouth. In short, the sensitive horse mouth offers little space for a bit. This space has to be used by anatomical adjustments in such a way that a comfortable and effective rein aid is possible for the rider.

Their horses (show jumpers) often have a very strong impulsion, making it difficult at times for the rider to bring the horse back before each jump. When using too severe bits however, horses become too cautious, resulting in a lack of speed and power in the jumping course. With the EZ-CONTROL-BIT we have developed a bit which is very effective and has a strong action on demand, yet positioned soft and comfortable in the horse’s mouth. The effect of the bit comes into action gently. When the horse accepts the bit, it lies smoothly between tongue and lower jaw. Only in moments of disobedience, when the horse resists the riders aid, the leverage action of the bit is initiated. As soon as the horse backs down and accepts the riders aid, the bit acts flexible and soft on the horse’s tongue and bars. This particular effect of the EZ-CONTROL-BIT has proved its worth also in the training of young horses. Horse trainers speak of a self-learning-aspect, because many horses begin to correct themselves as soon as the leverage action is initiated. The problem when horses become too strong in the riders hands and run away from the rider's aid occurs quite often, not only in show jumping. We have also had very good results in tests with children, who sometimes did not have enough strength to control their ponies when they were too strong or disobedient. With the EZ-CONTROL-BIT riders have a more effective impact on the horse, requiring less pressure on the reins. Sprenger TURNADO 2-TYPE 16 mm Olive-Head Snaffle With Continuous Rings
Bit Ring Size:
70mm
|
Bit Size:
135mm
|
Bit Thickness:
16mm
The TURNADO bits represent a new generation of snaffles.
The legs of conventional, simply broken bits are of different lengths due to manufacturing technology, which means that a little more pressure is always exerted on one side.
You can avoid this problem of uneven pressure distribution by using a TURNADO bit.
The joint in the middle of these bits was tilted forward by 45 ° to ensure even pressure distribution and to avoid palatal pressure.
The rotation is characterized by a slightly roughened surface (sandblasting) of the mouthpiece in the middle area of the bit.
innovative joint, turned 45 ° forward
as a result, the contact surface of the jaws on both sides of the tongue is the same length
this enables an even effect on both tongue edges

Neue Schule Tranz Lozenge 16mm Universal Bit
Bit Size:
5.00
The Neue Schule Tranz Lozenge Universal bit offers control without discomfort or severity, presenting an ideal upgrade from a snaffle bit.
The versatility of the bit which allows for numerous rein options including two reins, Pelham roundings and a curb strap also facilitates the use of this bit as a training tool prior to introducing a double bridle.
The Neue Schule Tranz Lozenge Universal also helps the rider to turn much more easily making it brilliant for faster work such as jumping. It also helps to eliminate the head toss when asking for a downward transition or shortening in between fences.
The Neue Schule Tranz Angled Lozenge is uniquely aligned at 20° to the bore axes of the cheeks. When a contact is taken, the smoothly profiled lozenge and loops press gently down onto the centre of the tongue (the 'sweet spot'), subsequently achieving a higher level of communication through the rein. More pressure down the rein further relieves the sensitive side areas of the tongue, bringing the thicker, less pressure-sensitive area into play.

Neue Schule Tranz Lozenge 16mm Baucher Bit
Bit Size:
5.25
The Neue Schule Tranz Lozenge Baucher (Hanging Cheek) Bit combines the Baucher cheek and NS Tranz mouthpiece and can help the rider to achieve and maintain a rounder and more correct outline. This design, utilising the Neue Schule Tranz Angled Lozenge, often proves beneficial for the over sensitive mouth.
The fixed Baucher cheek is highly recommended where help is needed for straightness and directional control.
This bit is ideal for a horse that regularly comes above the bit, is constantly resisting the contact or is strung out as it encourages a head lowering action and a softer feel through the rein.

Sprenger Dynamic RS Loose Ring 14 mm double jointed - Aurigan
Bit Ring Size:
70mm
|
Bit Size:
125mm
|
Bit Thickness:
14mm
Dynamic RS bits are shaped in such a way that they lie anatomically correct between tongue and palate and do not exert pressure on sensitive parts of the mouth.
They are a further development of the KK ULTRA bits. The middle link or joint is angled forward by 45° and uses the sensitive sense of touch of the tongue.
Thanks to the ergonomic shape, the rein aids reach the horse‘s mouth in a more targeted manner.
The pressure generated by the rein aid is distributed over the entire tongue, which acts like a cushion in the mouth.
The mouthpiece fits perfectly into the tongue and mouth contours and the effect is precise and effective.
When used correctly, Dynamic RS bits provide a confident contact - even with sensitive horses.
The Dynamic RS bits are available with single or double jointed mouthpieces and in combination with a wide range of different side parts. This wide selection allows the rider to meet the requirements of normal daily work as well as the highest discipline-specific challenges.

Sprenger KK Ultra Butterfly Flip Bit 140mm Aurigan
This bit has been crafted to create a pelham action with the softness of the KK Ultra mouthpiece.
It is made from oxidized Aurigan, a nickel-free copper alloy, which Sprenger say has a distinctive taste that encourages horses to chew and produce saliva.
The KK Ultra mouthpiece incorporates a shorter lozenge in the middle of the bit to accommodate the narrow palate, and a 45 degree angle of the link, intended to ensure that the rounded link resets fully on the tongue without squeezing.
