Our customer service, website, physical store and distributionteam is based in rural Kent with our horses on the doorstep, you are welcome to visit we are open 7 days a week if you'd like to try anything on or collect in person.

Meet The Team
Janice- Janice is the founder and owner of Saddlesdane. Janice lives, breaths and loves all aspects of equestrian. She started riding when she bought an ex race horse in her teenage years, it was then she found her passion for horses. She opened Saddlesdane as a small shop in 2003 with her late husband, Andy. Since then Saddlesdane has developed into one of the best equestrian centres in the South East of England. Janice’s passion is dressage previously qualifying for the nationals and many regional competitions over the years. She was a member of the Faversham and District riding club quadrille team that competed at Olympia on many occasions on her homebred Trakhener gelding – Purdy.
Annette- Annette is one of Saddlesdanes full time members of staff and daughter of Janice. Annette is a dedicated part of the team and her skills will not be unnoticed, Annette will always go above and beyond to help you. Any of your equestrian needs, Annette will have a solution for you. She came to work back at Saddlesdane after working in the prison service for a short time. Annette qualified for HOYS in 2003, riding for East Kent Pony Club with her little Pony Dinky and now competes her home produced mare.
Megan- Megan is a long term team member at Saddlesdane. Megan has been working with us since 2019. Megan again comes from an Equestrian background, and has completed her BHS stages therefore, can answer all the weird and wonderful questions that come with owning a horse. Megan has completed her BHS stages Megan takes great pride in using the configurator to design new sparkly custom made hats for our customers and following the current Equestrian trends, so we can have the stylish new seasonal stock for you. Megan owns a lovely pony named Filly and fills her time running M.E.G Freelance Services.
Millie- Millie is the newest member at Saddlesdane, and has joined us on an apprenticeship after having previously completed her level 3 diploma in equine management at Hadlow. Millie enjoys all aspects of being around the horses and owns a chestnut mare called Penny, therefore can help you with all your moody mare questions. Millie loves to keep up with all the new seasonal trends, so can help you with all your ultimate matching sets. Millie has been following her love for horses owning her own pony before she could walk, and has been riding ever since. Millie has a good range of knowledge to help provide a good service to our customers.
Josie- Josie hasn’t been with Saddlesdane long, when Josie left school she went on to complete her Cordwainer’s in Saddlery at Capel Manor Collage. Josie now works on the Saddlesdane website putting seasonal and core products on the system, so when it comes into store it is ready for you to buy first! Josie also done a hunt season in New Zealand, seeing a lot of the wonderful landscape New Zealand has to offer. Josie is a cat lover, it won’t be long before Saddlesdane stock all you need for a cat too if she has her way.
Victoria- Victoria is a long term member of the Saddlesdane team, working in the old shop premises. Victoria has since started a family and has 2 young boys, she now concentrates her time organizing the popular and expertly run affiliated and unaffiliated events. Catering for all abilities of rider alongside a small wedding events business at home. Victoria has recently imported her young Andalusian horse, Opal from Spain.
Andy- Andy was co-founder of Saddlesdane alongside Janice, sadly Andy passed away in 2015. Andy still is a big part of Saddlesdane as he would always have his hands dirty helping the girls in any way he could. Whether it was collecting and fitting shop fixings or driving to France to collect a horse cart for the front entrance when Saddlesdane was first established.
